In 2022, his five-meter-long work titled Tansik attracted significant attention at the exhibition Symbio: Coexistence, organized by Ayse Jabber and the Loftart team under Akfen Holding, an initiative dedicated to supporting independent artists. ABOUT ARDA BUYUK

Arda BÜYÜK was born on October 16, 1994, in Ordu, Turkey. His connection with painting began at a very early age, around five or six. During his primary school years, he drew attention by sketching figures and human forms upside down, which led his teacher to recognize his talent early on. With the support of his family, he pursued art education and completed his secondary studies at Ordu Anatolian Fine Arts High School. He later graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts Education at Trakya University.

During his academic years, the artist produced cover illustrations and interior drawings for various magazines, stepping into the professional production process at an early age by selling his works. His passion for art brought him to Istanbul, where he settled in Beyoğlu and developed his distinctive artistic style. In Istanbul, he built a wide network and succeeded in reaching diverse audiences through his work.

For BÜYÜK, painting evolved into more than a means of expression; it became a way of life. As an independent artist, he gained recognition with his exhibition “Symbio” and further strengthened his reputation with his solo exhibition “Amorphe.” His works are included in the collections of prominent collectors such as Mustafa Taviloğlu, Hamdi Akın, and Oğuz Alper Öktem. In addition, he has created special collection projects for Lazzoni Furniture and Elvish Honey, and produced five original artworks for Pearly Bağcılık, which were adapted as wine labels—thus expanding his art into different mediums. The artist continues to produce exclusive collection projects for well-established families and brands in Turkey.

Arda BÜYÜK currently continues his studio practice. His passion for art and his distinctive approach enable his works to be followed with great interest by a wide audience.
